# 2. Skoolverse Land
Land is something that wasn't planned out in the roadmap initially that we have decided to add in order to fill the gaps on several functionality and in general will be a medium for Scholarz holders to have collective ownership in the Skoolverse. Scholarz will also be able to claim whatever revenue potential our ecosystem may have by holding skoolverse land. It will also be required for holders to stake your Genesis Scholarz and upgrade your land to create ownership for our Endowment Fund.
Land is claimed using 500 $EXP + gas and each Scholarz are allocated to 1 basic land plot. Genesis Scholarz on secondary market place does not necessarily carry 1 land plot claim. There is a function in Scholarz dashboard where you can check whether a Scholarz still carry the land claim!\

To check if a Scholarz still has their allocated land plot to them you have to :\
1\) Access Dashboard\
2\) Click on Land\
3\) Enter token ID that you want to purchase/already have and click submit\
There will be some steps involved though and this will show how Scholarz Genesis will play the most important part in the ecosystem:
1. Each Genesis Scholarz is eligible to claim a land.
2. Each land will be able to host 1 of any Scholarz you have via staking mechanism. This is required to activate your land.
3. For some structures to start working, it must be built on an active land. To activate, you will need to spend 500 $EXP.
4. Each land will have level upgrades. The more developed a land is, the more structures will appear, resulting in more utilities.
5. Land can be listed and sold, whether it has a tenant or is empty. Technically, only the tenant is locked.
6. Whenever an owner of active land changes due to transfer or sale, the land must be reactivated again per point number 3. However, all upgrades remain intact.
7. Structures can be upgraded too. The higher level the structure, the better utility it gives. First structure that will be launched is Level 1 House which will cost you some $EXP to build.
Over time, we will release new structures with new functions and upgrades for you to play around with your land.
